...On the Eleventh Day of GINGER... ...on GINGEROLOGY...

...ELEVEN Pipers Piping...

well... of course this implies a musical theme, but... we have one more day left, so... let's go THIS route here instead... what is 'piping'? Well, you channel water through a pipe, but we've had the swimming deal as well (see Day SEVEN)...
...here's a thought... bakers perform a procedure whilst administering frosting upon a cake which they refer to as...piping...
...of course, some piping is more devastatingly beautiful than others... (thanks to Arianna for sharing her awesome birthday cakes over time...)

...cake... ...food... ...I think we have our 'theme' here...

...of course, all food conversations relating to Ginger HAVE to begin with... ICE CREAM!!! We've had quite a few posts over time regarding Ginger's love for the frozen confection... with the biggest issue being what her favorite flavor was... after a lot of theory and conjecture, we obtained the answer from a VERY reliable source... she truly didn't have one, but leaned toward vanilla... as we see here. Of course, it's awesome because you can use it as a 'base' for pretty much any other flavor you wish to top it with... our girl is SO brilliant!!!

...of course, ice cream buddies up well with pie... and Ginger could crank those out as well, naturally... she's mean with a knife, let me tell ya...

...there are times when it's good just to sit in a nook of a ledge (careful, Ginger!!!) and just sip on some moo juice... hey, didn't we have a lactose-themed day a few days back?

Corn's good... Corn's GREAT...

...is this lady bringing Ginger's food to her, or is she just passing by grabbing something? She sure doesn't look like a 'carhop' or whatever they used to call them...

...If I weren't already set as Ginger's Eternal Cabana Boy, I'd apply for the Ginger's Grape Peeler gig... heck, I can always moonlight... well shoot I reckon, y'all...

...dig the upright toast holder going on here... I always thought it was a bit funny to see Ginger with breakfast in bed, knowing how "up and at 'em" she was... but she played the part of Queen Linda pretty convincingly...

...I always thought they used twins to hawk Doublemint Gum... of course, if there was EVER an exception, it's Ginger of course...  maybe they should have sponsored Ginger's TV show, given its 'twin Gingers' theme...well, if it would have ever taken off... too bad we weren't all around back then, at least as powerful Nielsen voters... I remember we did a Nielsen thing one week back in the 70s... Ms. Tremont just let me fill it out however... as I was 8 or 9 years old, tops, so my votes were dominated by animated cartoon shows... which they probably STILL would be...

...not sure if the Ginger's restaurant / grill / bar whatever is still in the hotel (DoubleTree, perhaps?) in Times Square... If we have any Gotham Gingerologists, it would be nice to get info on this... I'd dig one of the plates from the place, no doubt...

...what better way to end a food post than with good ol' donuts! and here is a BIG bowl of them being presented to Ginger by Mary Carlisle (who looks a LOT like Harlow in this pic)...

...well, let's see... we are ALMOST home, Ladies and Laddies!!! The TWELFTH and final Day of GINGER will be posted tomorrow, on Christmas Eve... I planned to finish on the 24th, 'cause I know most folks will be doing the Christmas thang on the 25th, right? SO, until tomorrow...

KIG!!!
