...TWLEVE Drummers Drumming...
...of course ONE Ginger drumming works BEST!
...Ginger didn't limit herself to percussion instruments...
Of course, Ginger could jam out on the piano... HOW cool would it have been to be able to hang out at Ginger's and hear her work the keyboard? There's quite a few spots where she plays the piano in films, and I've always wondered if she was actually playing... for example:
...Young Man of Manhattan... cute as ALL get-out, Miss Randolph...
Queen High... although not as spunky in this particular scene...
The Tenderfoot... she HAS to be jamming out HERE, right? I mean, look at the fingers! Even I can see that, and I'm a music noob!!!
Sitting Pretty... DANG this one needs to get spruced up and on DVD!!!
...well, I'm sure there are others where she tickles the ivories, but... these are all that come to mind... awesomeness, ALL of them!
...what about other instruments? Well, there's a few more Ginger tinkered with...
...I think we ALL need a framed pic of this one... how can a squeezebox be SO ravishing?
Ginger liked to hang out with musicians and writers as well... ...wonder if that's a Rosati accordion? It appears to have some other name on it... Bonus points if anyone out there knows the name of either of these cats...
Ginger could shred, too... check out the reaction from one of her patented 'ukelele power chords' she unleashes on the Stage Door gals... ...the 'scarf cat' is still hiding under the porch...
...of course, Ginger could spin the vinyl as well... there's another job for me... Official Ginger Record Flipper... ...um... ...see, records have music on each side, and when one side finishes playing, you have to turn it over to hear the second half of the tunes on the record... ...hm? RECORD... it's the round black Frisbee-looking deal Ginger is holding here... place it on the turntable... TURNTABLE... well, kinda like the one in the microwave, yes, but... different...
...and of course, Ginger ALWAYS had the cutting edge audio equipment of the day... wish I had this radio... hm? What's that? yes, RADIO... it... picks up waves from the air and amplifies it through a speaker box... ...well, no, you just listen to what they are playing at the time... shuffle? no no... well, Shuffle Off to Buffalo every now and then, perhaps... MP3? well, not sure what MPs have to do with radios, unless you were stealing one, and you were IN the military... ...um... aren't you late for Star Wars or something, kid?
...well, let's get back to the original theme here... DRUMS...
...here's another GingerPainting, this time with... DRUMMERS! well less than twelve, but... still a pretty hip image...
...some of you hip kids out there may remember THIS dude, from the musical pop band 'Cream'... he wasn't much to look at, but he could pound the skins VERY well...
...for me, however, THIS is by FAR the best use of a drum I've seen...
Well...
That's it.
TWELVE Days of GINGER are complete.
We here at Gingerology hope you have enjoyed the posts... they were a lot of fun to compile, and got me back in the GingerGroove, no doubt...
