...a BIG Gingerology THANKS to...

...Camille AND Anna!!! They have awarded Gingerology with the 'Stylish Blogger Award'...Thanks so much, y'all! Of course, the 'Stylish' part is probably just a BIT more due to Ginger than Huey... if I can get the same color socks on each foot in the morning, I'm at the top of my 'Style' game... :-] BTW - I have ALWAYS loved that Ginger pic above... 'middle aged Ginger', as many of y'all know, is REAL big on Huey's list... what, with Huey being 'middle-aged' and all... :-]

Anyway, I have to reveal seven big facts about me...Huey, that is...

Well, here we go...
1. My favorite actress is Ginger Rogers
2. My favorite dancer is Ginger Rogers
3. My favorite singer is Ginger Rogers
4. My favorite stage performer is Ginger Rogers
5. My favorite TV personality is Ginger Rogers
6. My favorite author is Ginger Rogers
7. My favorite tennis player is Ginger Rogers

...is that enough? :-]
...ok, ok... facts about Huey, sans Ginger (this is gonna be pretty tuff, y'all...):

1. I used to be able to put my foot behind my head...'HueyYoga'...
2. Fav color - Green
3. Fav food - Mexican - hot sauce
4. Speaking of hot sauce, I collect it - have over 600 bottles...yep.
5. I am hopelessly addicted to Diet Mountain Dew
6. I am 'quazi-ambidextrious' - hold a fork with my left hand, but write and throw with my right hand
7. I had an extra set of molars (4), and also an extra 'canine' tooth lodged behind my 'two front teeth' growing up, thus mucho oral surgery and orthodontics for the H-man...

ok - well, I am ALSO supposed to pick out 7 blogs to send the award to... but honestly, I just can't play favorites, y'all... so let's do this... if any of y'all out there do NOT have this award, consider it awarded to you from Huey and Gingerology... y'all just pick it up below...CONGRATS!!! :-)

OK - well, hope y'all have a nice, Gingery weekend!!! The Thirteenth Guest will be posted sometime this weekend, hopefully... until then...

KIG, y'all!!!

(and thanks again, Anna and Camille!!!)

  1. These awards are something for people who have toooo much time. And those award-givers seem to think they have the right to kill your rare time.

Well, I haven't got time for that. Besides Jean never got an award, so I'm not supposed to like awards.

The way you solved this problem is great, Huey. I love those 7 answers about your relationship to Ginger -- great idea to do it that way! The "come here and ask me yourself" way is wonderful! LOL ... Well, I'm not even ready to waste an article on any blogger award.

Since I met Pinkie, my blogger-life has changed completely and time is extremely rare. I'm trying hard to manage all that. Award to Sweet & Hot? Most impossible idea -- they better not ask me...

  2. You're welcome Huey! :D You totally deserved, you have one of the best Ginger blogs ever!! actually, I think it is the best :D Hehe

And too Clarissa Smith ^ not necessarily, maybe they also want to say how much they enjoy your blog and that they appreciate the fact that you take time to post on it. It does NOT take a lot of time to post something as simple as a picture and seven facts.

  3. Clarissa - well, it's true that each blog I follow has different aspects which set it apart from others, as each one is unique to that person's personality...so it is a bit hard to narrow it down... but if I had to, Sweet&Hot would definitely be on the list! :-) ...and it WOULD be pretty neat to get 'Seven Clarissa Facts'!!!
Hope you are doing well - and thanks for the kind words...

Anna: thanks for the kind words! As I always say, it's pretty easy to put effort into a topic you enjoy...I'm just glad it is entertaining to folks.
You do a great job as well at BOTH of your blogs...I have been kicking around the idea of starting up a 'everything other than Ginger' blog, more of a 'free-form' type deal... but will probably wait until the Gingertennial is over...well, post-birthday, anyway.
    Thanks again, Anna! :-)

  4. Haha, seven Clarissa facts Huey, yes?? I would do it your way: Jean Arthur from 1 to 7 ... -- You most certainly can have 7 private facts, but most certainly via private e-mail. LOL

Anna, let's just say, I'm allergic to awards, so I mustn't look for excuses anymore. Besides I have a bad awardphobia. All my doctors say there's no way to heal me. LOL

Anyway I think about cutting down on blogging. I rather invest my time in friends -- and in my church.

Awards...Thanks, Y'all!!!

...I TRULY appreciate these, and the kind words regarding this blog...thanks for all the inspiration I have drawn from each of your blog sites, which are all awesome in their unique ways!!!
It is my hope that I can continue to make 'G-ology' interesting and informative regarding the 'Beautiful Science' of VKM, which is SUCH a great topic!!! ...And remember, your comments are what make Gingerology click - so keep cranking them out!

Thanks again, JW
