The Summer of Ginger...

...is officially here! WOO-HOO! Ginger was quite the one for recreational activities, as these pics indicate... thanks to all the folks who have 'offered' these pics in past posts... sure you all have seen them before, but still cool to have them in one spot...
As for the 'State of Gingerology', I am hopefully going to get some more features, info, pics, etc... also wanting to add the 'mp3' feature, IF I can figure out how to do it... ANY advice would be deeply appreciated... I have accumulated quite a few GingerTunes over the past year, as well as her biography on audio...REALLY want to make all of that accessible to my fellow Gingerologists.
The Cabana boy is limbering up as we speak, y'all...
Keep It Gingery this summer, y'all!!!

  1. Love those pics, I'd never seen the one of her getting out of the pool before. If only we could have told young Ginger to be careful in the sun, as pics of her in later years showed lots of sun damage. :(

  2. Oh VKMfan you have My Story on audio?! Between you, SassyGinger, Fioraon, and all the fan videos on youtube my brain is overflowing with Ginger...LOL! I just finshed reading her auto bio (LOVED it by the way), and when I found out that she actually did the audio for the book-on-tape I started hunting for it online to download and listen but had no luck :( Even if you just made a paragraph avaliable I would be jumping for joy...LOL! I am very easy to please :-)

  4. Gingerella, even 300 years ago people knew that the sun causes wrinkles (I read letters from that time), but even today most people don't care. I once warned a dancer: "Your face is your capital!" But she didn't wanna hear it. Maybe Ginger wouldn't listen to us ...

I like the first picture - Ginger in action. She says she's an athletic type - well looks like.

  5. OK y'all, it is officially "S.O.G." (Summer Of Ginger)...

Gingerella - You may not know it, but I am Ginger's perpetual cabana boy... as a result, I have quite a few pics of her in and around the pool... :-)
...and yep, wish they had more SPF knowledge back then... but it seemed like she was never all that tan...just 'fair'... maybe she used SOMETHING... her 'later in life' pics do show some 'effects', to be sure... but it doesn't faze her effect on PG Huey much at ALL! :-)

Desarae - well, hopefully you can check out the right side of the page here and get the files for Ginger reading the bio... hope you enjoy them! It's a bit more than a paragraph, tho... er, three hours or so, actually! It isn't the ENTIRE book, but well over half of the 'high points'... stay tuned for more files...

SG - well, heck... I thought YOU got that one to ME!!! It might have been Lauren, tho... anyway, yep, that is a cool one... legs for days... 'sigh'...

CS - Ginger was definitely an active sort! I just don't know if I could have kept up with her... but as they say, "I would have died trying!" :-)
