...why we are leaving at 5 a.m. is a bit perplexing, but...should get there by late afternoon...or at least by suppertime...
Thus begins the journey to Independence...the 'GingerQuest', if you will... to where it all began...
I will be posting 'small updates' as possible, from a smart phone if possible...that's a first for Huey, so be patient, y'all...

OK - here is the link to Maggie's awesome new blog (well, she 'transferred' Silver Screen Dream to WordPress...), and info regarding the proper celebratory procedures for Saturday:

Hope everyone out there participates...should be a great event! I will try to get in on it as well, but I will probably be buzzing around Independence... buit will try to join in, for sure!!!

OK, this is IT...heading out here in a minute... wish us safe journeys...mainly that 'Bam-Bam' will be ok for nine or so hours in the van - yep, we have the quintessential 'mini-van' set up...

KIG, y'all...hope to 'update' soon!

  1. http://kdrv.com/news/local/211159 I thought you might like this Huey, it's a video talking about the Ginger fashion show they had! :D

  2. Have fun Huey! I went a few weeks ago, and someone is living in the house. I'm sure they'll answer the door if you knock. Try to find the sand company building too! It's somewhere near the railroad tracks.
If I had the time while I was there, I was going to try to find the "McMath girl missing!" headline in the newspaper.

  3. Have a awesome trip!
You are lucky to go there for the 16th. Please do after you get back post some pictures of your "Gingerquest".:D

  4. Thanks, all! I will get back to each of you when I get back home... Just not too swift working the iPhone yet...
    Have an awesome Gingertennial, y'all!

Awards...Thanks, Y'all!!!
