Thanks, Gingerella!

...for bestowing a award upon my humble little blog! It is cool to know that folks are interested in Ginger, and hopefully I can keep the blog rolling... I will not grow weary of the subject matter, trust me, y'all... :-)
Well, as a part of this, there are some questions I must answer...I try to have fun with these, and provide 'whumsical' replies... so, check the first comment, where the Q's and A's are located, just in the interest of 'space saving'.
Thanks again, Gingerella! and also to all the other followers of Gingerology!

JWalker - VKMfan

  1. ok - one-word answers, eh? ok - but will probably expound on a lot of them, thus circumventing the single word restraint...

    1.Where is your phone?
DOCKED (land line - actually, my cell phone is being charged as we speak...hey, does anyone know if the Droid is worth checking into? (see how the 'expanded thoughts' concept works? wait...it gets better...hopefully...))
    2.Your hair?
    FUZZY (...yet manageable...)
    3.Your Mother?
WISE (...never forget that one, y'all...)
    4.Your Father?
FOOLISH (well, in regards to how he treated Ma... very much like Ginger's parent tale...well, I was never kidnapped, and I have seen my dad (in fact, drug his happy carcass to the ER this morning, where he was promptly admitted for pneumonia...LONG story...he is ok, but staring assisted living right in the eyes...))
    5.Your favourite food?
WINGS (of the poultry variety...preferably doused in very hot sauce...)
    6.Your dream last night?
SKETCHY (contrary to popular belief, I do NOT dream about VKM every night...well, every OTHER night, perhaps?)
    7.Your favourite drink?
DMD (Diet Mountain Dew... I am addicted to the stuff...)
    8.Your dream/goal?
SECURITY (sounds as good as anything else at this point in the game...)
    9.What room are you in?
OFFICE (which is currently loaded down with Ginger books, movies, etc...as well as over 600 bottles of hot sauce (I collect them), and my daughter's leftover toys...)
    10.Your hobbie?
COLLECTING (hot sauce - see last response)
    11.Your fear?
FAILURE (Want to keep a 'relatively comfortable' life rolling for my wife and kids)
12.Where do you want to be in six years?
WORKING (preferably at the same place, with monetary increases...)
    13.Where were you last night?
HOUSE (It was a school night for the young 'un...)
    14.Something that you're not?
OUTGOING (pretty shy...of course bloggin and commenting is pretty easy, but if I had to give a speech in front of all y'all, it would be a shambles...)
TRUE (...I'm assuming muffins will be offered after the test...)
    16.Wishlist item?
TV (...of the size range to where Ginger can engulf the entire wall with her pristine beauty... :-] )
    17.Where did you grow up?
HAM (as in Birmingham, AL - eh, not too bad a place... really.)

(see post #2 for the remainder...)

  2. (QuestionFest continued)

    18.Last thing you did?
EXFOLIATED (...this flaky winter skin is getting to me, y'all...)
    19.What are you wearing?
    JAMMIES (...loosely interpreted, of course...)
    20.Your TV?
OFF (approaching 1am in the Ham...)
    21.Your pets?
ERNIE (orange tabby - cool cat.)
YAHOOS (...for the most part...especially during 'hunting season'... )
    23.Your life?
    YUP (...well, shoot, I reckon...)
    24.Your mood?
JEJUNE (sorry, just like using that word...)
    25.Missing someone?
NO (all the inmates are present and accounted for...)
TAHOE (the non-hybrid, gas-sucking, smog-shootin' type... hey, you Prius drivers have to have SOMEONE to play the yin to your yang...)
    27.Something your not wearing?
EVENLY (...I need a general rotation and balance...)
    28.Your favourite store?
TARGET (Wally world has the 'core stuff', but the red dot folks have a more interesting stock of merchandise...)
    29.Your Favourite colour?
30.When was the last time you laughed?
TODAY (...when the nurse was asking my dad questions, and how crozzled he got answering them...)
    31.The last time you cried?
4:20 (not really... but how can you say, 'three weeks ago' in one word? It was the last time I watched 'Tender Comrade'...that ending just rips me UP, y'all!...)
    32.Your best friend?
MARGE (my wife, Greta...which is a derivative of 'Margaret', thus, 'Marge'...she calls me 'Huey', so, we are 'Marge and Huey', waiting for the old folks home, baby...)
33.One place that I go to over and over?
WORK (unfortunately not a given these days...)
MARGE (she does that some, but I am a Blogger, which is superior, no?... I just don't want folks from 25 years in my past sloggin back up in my life, asking to be my friend...I mean, has this dude been incarserated or anything? and were you my friend before? what, do you want to borrow money or something? sheesh!)
    35.Favourite place to eat?
SOFA (...to watch TV... but I can't eat and watch Ginger at the same time... I just can't 'multi-task' with Ginger around...)

Well, that's it - hopefully these made sense, or at least were readable... VKMfan

  3. haha, I loved these! :) #14, I know what you mean. I have absolutely no problem expressing myself via the written word and getting to know people online, but in person I'm quiet and shy. That's why I love the blogosphere! :)

  4. Good deal...hope they were 'interesting' to read...people send me the '20 questions' deal pretty often, and I like to just make up corny answers which are 'unique' from the 'rote' answers everyone typically puts down. It may take a bit more effort, but it is worth it, I guess.
I am a horrible 'verbal communicator'... I throw in way too many 'you know's in a conversation. I received a voice mail at work the other day, which was about a minute long...the lady said 'um' 25 times...it almost became 'rhythmic' in nature. Anyway, all that to say a lot of folks are probably better with this format for communication...

    Thanks Again, Gingerella!!!

  5. I love how they are all supposed to be one word answers and you add commentary to all of them but one. HAHA. This was very entertaining though!
#2 was a good one-- now just hold still a tad while I secure the bow...

    I love green too!
I also love how you talk like you are so ancient or something when a lot of people online are older than you. :)
What is someone supposed to answer to "muffins?" anyway?

  6. ...there are always ways to work around the rules... hey, maybe I can wear a ponytail...like Willie Nelson...

Green is cool! My selection of green as my fav color is primarily from my school's colors Green and gold (UAB)... also the reason I am a big Oregon fan...plus I think ducks are cool!

Well, not THAT old, but old enough to be most of y'all's daddy! Maybe it's just that Y'ALL are all too young! :-)

Muffins - maybe they want to know what type you prefer... in any event, it is quite a crozzled question...

Awards...Thanks, Y'all!!!

...I TRULY appreciate these, and the kind words regarding this blog...thanks for all the inspiration I have drawn from each of your blog sites, which are all awesome in their unique ways!!!
It is my hope that I can continue to make 'G-ology' interesting and informative regarding the 'Beautiful Science' of VKM, which is SUCH a great topic!!! ...And remember, your comments are what make Gingerology click - so keep cranking them out!

Thanks again, JW
