In Rememberance...

...of Miss Ginger Rogers, who left us nineteen years ago this day...
Always a rough day on the Gingerologist's calendar, but as always, this time should really be spent viewing your fave GingerFilm (or two), listening to some GingerTunes, and in general just remembering the lady and her legacy, and what it means to all of us...
...and I also take this time to SINCERELY thank all of you for following Gingerology...I wonder what Ginger would think about the blog, and all our voraciousness for GingerInfo over on FaceBook... I kinda like to think she would jump in there with us every once in awhile and set us straight about dates and times, and fill us in on details... wouldn't that be COOL?

Hope to have some things posted in the near future, and the Stage Door post is nearing as well...

Happy Easter!!!

...hope everyone out there who observes the Easter Season has a safe, reflective, and encouraging Easter Sunday! The only Easter pic I have of Ginger is this one, which y'all have probably seen, but, it's still cool, so...

...and I still want to know where do we sign up for "The Friends of Ginger Rogers Society"? Well, I'm thinking FaceBook has supplanted that void nicely... BUT, if this was a magazine of some type, I'd LOVE to get my hands on one (or ALL) of them...

Well, as you all know, April is not my fave month... it's been somewhat 'uneventful' this year, however, so if we can crank out another week and a half, we're in the clear... but with that, I have been rather busy as of late, thus the posting deficiency. Hopefully things will get a bit more 'stable', and more posting will occur. I have been adding bits and pieces to the GingerFilm blogs, so you may want to chack a few of those out...

...in particular, I posted the 'impromptu GingerFilm watch night' for Broadway Bad on that blog, in it's entirety - it's pretty interesting to look thru, especially if you know the film.

I've also been working on the post for the Kate Hepburn Blogathon for Margaret Perry... still a ways to go, but will have it ready to roll for the event... stay tuned.

...HAPPY HCG DAY!!!

...well, the big premiere ...or shall we say the 21st Century premiere... of Hat Check Girl is at hand... and hope folks who are fortunate enough to be at the viewing have a great time!!! It would be awesome if ALL Gingerologists could check it out together somehow, but... we'll see it sooner or later...
If there are any of y'all out there who see it tomorrow at the TCM festival in Hollywood, PLEASE feel free to pop in here and post a reply, or heck, even a review... the floor is open! um... some pics of the showing would be cool, as well! :-)

...as for other Gingery happenings, not aware of anything abroad, but a few things cooking here at G-ology... of course, the Stage Door review for Margaret Perry (see info at right)...it's 'under construction', and will hopefully be a fair synopsis of Ginger and Kate's roles in this classic film.
...and there's still stuff to do with regards to this blog, as well as all the 'Gingerfilm' blogs... lemme go do some of that NOW...
