Forty-Second Street to be released on Blu-Ray!

...for all you folks who are...into Blu-Ray!!! I assume this will be a more crisp version than the 'original' DVD of "The film that saved Warner Brothers" which has been around a decade or so.

Here's a link to Blu-ray.com, which has more details regarding the product, which is set for release on April 21st... so, be saving up!  Guess I'll have to pop on a Blu-ray player... I think they are relatively inexpensive at this point in time...
I think the 'extras' on this one mirror the ones included in the 'original' DVD... but I could be wrong on that...
...and the scuttlebutt around a few 'forums' I ran across discussing this is that the good ol' folks at WB Archives are just getting warmed up with these offerings... rumor has it that Gold Diggers of 1933 as well as Footlight Parade (not a Ginger joint, but DOES have Miss Blondell in it) are next to get the Blu-ray transformation.  It's also worth mentioning that there was a rumor a few years back that the G&F collection was to 'done up' in Blu-ray as well... not sure where that is, but... it would be nice to see.

Well, hope all is well with y'all out there... wwe're all good at Gingerology Central...a bit of cold/flu-ish stuff the last few weeks, but it's in it's death throes...

Until next time,

KIG!
