...of Ginger, who left this world on this day back in 1995... always a somber day here at G-ology, but watching a GingerFilm or two on this day helps out, to celebrate the awesomeness that is and will always be Ginger Rogers!
...and this day is always a good time to 'reflect' a bit, and to sincerely thank each of y'all for helping to keep Ginger's memory and legacy alive, if just in a small corner of a large blogosphere...hopefully a few folks passing thru have been converted into Gingerologists over these last few years, and that's really what it's all about to me...
...and in that spirit, as always...

I'm thinking of Ginger today too. I agree with you that it is a somber day but also an opportunity to remember her well.

Thanks, 'e' - it's a sad time, but her awesome career and all the great stuff she left for us to discover is really the coolest part of being a G-ologist...to find stuff heretofore unseen...or rarely seen, anyway... our small network of folks is pretty adept at that, and it's great we can set up these blogs to keep the memory and spirit alive...

I've noticed how in recent years she has gotten more attention and a bigger fanbase. I don't know if it's because ever since I became a fan I've just noticed, but it sure seems like it.

...that's kind of the 'driving force' for G-ology, and I reckon for all of us...to expose folks to Ginger and hopefully gain some 'converts'... I mean, it's unrealistic to think everyone ya meet is going to be a Ginger fan, but at least they will know YOUR position!
