...that TCM has some Ginger going on tomorrow!
Actually, it is director George Stevens 'day'; "Swing Time" is on at 11:00 Eastern, followed a bit later by "Vivacious Lady" at 2:15 Eastern (there is another Stevens directed movie airing between these)...he directed both of those, and got to know Ginger quite well...that lucky dawg!
Also, at 6:00 Eastern, the documentary "George Stevens - A Filmakers' Journey" airs - There are evidently some Ginger moments within it, since it always pops up on Ginger movies being shown...honestly I have not seen it, but REALLY plan to tape it tomorrow...
Hope y'all can watch! VKMfan
P.S. - A BIG Gingerology welcome to our newest follower, Zoe! Please feel free to comment on anything occurring on this blog - we are big on gabbing-yakking, etc... Thanks for following! VKMfan

Thanks for the reminder of that documentary! I hope there's *lots* of Ginger stuff in it. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I taped it, but haven't got to watch it yet... but it is a 'required' bit of Gingerology, it seems... therefore I snagged it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good work on your TCM schedule, Huey. I don't get TCM, but my son-in-law does. I'm trying to get all 10 Gingr-Frend movies on TCM burnt DVDs and am asking him to record them. I forgot about the Thanksgiving marathon until it was underway and only got 4 of them. Your schedule will be a nice reminder as the remaining 6 are aired.
ReplyDeleteNo problem, Lady Fioraon!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Thanksgiving 'marathon' missed two or three, for whatever reason.
Looking at the times for the 'March 2010 airings', they are either out of chronological order or out of sequence... but they are showing them all in some manner...would seem to be best to show them as they were made, starting with 'Rio' and ending with 'Barkleys'. I really think this might have to do with WB potentially coming out with a 'blu-ray' set of these movies...heard they have been working on that for awhile now. If so, may just have to go actually buy a blu-ray player just for it!
...BTW Fioraon, just 'got' the 'Gingr-Frend' reference...hee hee... :-)
