...Well, hope everyone is doing well out there! I'm pretty jazzed this weekend, as Ginger's 101st Birthday is only a few days off!!!
Of course, the 'news' here at the 'home office' is that we are a 'tenative' GO for a mondo road trip to ultimately see the GingerCentury exhibit in Boston...I know a few of y'all have been, and from what I've seen, I KNOW it's gonna take the better part of a day to immerse into it... I'm REALLY looking forward to it!

Well, Huey's birthday was a few weeks back, and one of our most dedicated G-ologists, Arianna (GF11 of Ginger's Corner) REALLY surprised me with THIS drawing...
...now, howHOWHOW incredible is THIS??? Just perfect... I am framing this one for SURE! I love to draw, but...I'm just about positive I could NEVER draw Ginger well...and I'd definitely never get anywhere CLOSE to this!...I'm my own worst critic, I guess... but GF slam dunked this one!!!
Thanks SO much (again), Arianna!
-----
...as for a 'FilmBlog' update, these are still 'under construction'...hopefully will make some MAJOR headway soon on these... I'll note when they have been 'set up'...in general, they are going to look like the 'Young Man of Manhattan' blog...and of course, if y'all have ANY suggestions, please feel free to throw them at me!!!

Well, y'all get hoppin' to this weekend's festivities, and as I always tell you good folks...
...Keep It Gingery!!!

I am always amazed at how wonderful her drawings turn out. I have seen many and they are amazing each and every time. And it's not just because I'm her Mom either:-) Arianna has been blessed with a true talent and I'm very proud of her.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great birthday!! Your so lucky to be able to make that road trip. Of course I have been hearing about it from a very disappointed Ginger fan around here:-) Have fun!!
YAY it's my drawing!!!!! So glad you still love it, I knew you would've. ;)
ReplyDeleteFor Ginger's bday I'm probably going to watch some movies, and then make a post of course.
Have a AWESOME GINGERY weekend!
Well, both of y'all are awesome, and have helped me out in my blogging education!
ReplyDeleteI deeply appreciate this awesome gift... and yes, Arianna should be looking around at schools where she can hit the next level of art... it would be so cool for her to 'make a living' doing that...I was really interested in that path, more of an 'animation' type career, but...unless you are REAL good, and just as important, real FAST, you won't be able to break in that world...of course, now with computer-generated stuff, it takes a lot of the 'grunt work' out of it...
Here's hoping GF can further that incredible talent she has...
KIG, y'all!

For Ginger's birthday i'll be working again :( i haven't had time to watch any movies or listen to any music all week :( had a fantastic week working with young people though :) even if i did end up with concussion :/
ReplyDeleteOdd to think was in Independence this time last year!
Took Anneliese to see Top Hat last night, was cheaper than a babysitter! Absolutely brill, had to stop her singing along to Cheek to Cheek ;) she showed more excitement than a lot of people around us haha
Have a fab time seeing the exhibition, open 9-4.30, no food allowed (so they say) and only bottled drinks, so jel even if have seen it twice hehe
...concussion? yow, wha happened? well, I'll be working Monday as well - I MAY have taken off, but saving up days for the August trip...
DeleteIt does seem somewhat quick that Ind. was already a year ago...dang, time marches on, eh? That was truly a pretty cool moment, to be there at that time...I was just 'bummed' that there wasn't more of a 'big deal' made about it locally, y'know? well, at least WE got there, right? :-]
...great to hear Anneliese enjoyed the show... whenever it heads over here, I'll HAVE to check it out...we will probably do a NYC trip sooner or later, so would be nice if it were there at that time...
No food, check... probably don't need drinks either, but...might grab a water...I usually need a few cans of Diet Mountain Dew in me (mondo caffeine) to get rolling in the morning, but, something tells me I'll be pretty 'amped' up that day, anyway! :-)
Thanks, Kat! Hope ya get better!
And have a great Gingertennial+1 tomorrow!!!
KIG!!!

I'm wondering about the concussion, too. Did the little people attack you or what? :/ You know, Kat, I'm counting the injuries: badly sprained ankle your first trip to the US, stress fracture on the next, and now a concussion. If things come in threes, hopefully you're through taking your knocks. :)
