...On the Third Day of GINGER... ...on GINGEROLOGY...

...a TRIPLE threat!!!
...singing, dancing, acting... Ginger has always been described as one who could perform VERY well in all three capacities... of course, this blogger has built his entire blogging CAREER on that very accurate fact!
...here's just a few of my faves (of course, any SECOND of Ginger singing, dancing, and/or acting are my faves...duuuuuuuh...)
...Storm Warning... an 'uncomfortable' film in the subject matter department, but Ginger really shines in it, with pretty dramatic turns throughout... early 50s Ginger should have been in a LOT more films...

...Sitting Pretty... Have You Ever Seen a Dream Walking, INDEED... if Ginger was any more breathtaking in this scene, she might have just done ol' Hu in when he first saw it... but WHAT a way to go, right? ;-)

...Follow The Fleet... Ginger gets a 'solo' routine, albeit a bit 'submarined' by Freddie... Ginger's gracefulness shines through, even in a hoofin' exercise... pure gold, y'all...

...and speaking of gold... perhaps...just PERHAPS, my all-time fave moment of GingerFilm occurs at the opening of Gold Diggers of 1933, when Ginger plows into the standard tune of hope, "We're in the Money"... if someone asks me why I'm a Gingerologist, I just show them this clip...

...as Carlotta in the Noir "Black Widow"... a surprising yet quite effective role for our girl... I'm not the world's largest 'film noir' fan, but it's cool that Ginger had a few in her repertoire (Tight Spot also qualifies)...

Roxie... Roxie... Roxie... the Charleston never had a chance... nuff said...

...Honey Hale!!! In Flying down to Rio, Ginger kicked of her partnership with Fred, but she had some nice camera time on her own, most notably singing "Music Makes Me"... yupyupyup...

...as Dolley Madison, Ginger was no doubt a Magnificent Doll... the period costumes were perfect... and yeah, folks say there are historical 'inaccuracies' throughout it, but no matter... it still makes for a cool film which Ginger shines SO brightly...

...Stage Door is one of those films where Ginger could do a little song and dance, a little comedic satire, and a bit of drama... thus one of my fave GingerFilms!  Ginger's outfit here is SO cool...

...Well, of course, there are SO many more examples of how multi-faceted Ginger was... didn't even really touch on her very successful stage career pre- and post-films... and of course her television appearances... recordings... you name it!

Well, tomorrow brings in the FOURTH day, which may be of interest to the ladies in the crowd (which is most of y'all ;-) ) ... so, until then...

KIG!
