What's up, y'all?

...whoa, it's been a few, eh? Well, honestly, it's been a bit busy here at Gingerology Headquarters, with the young'uns getting settled in at school, the final stages of a somewhat extensive 'furniture move / renovation' of the lower half of the Headquarters, as well as some 'rearranging' of things at Huey's ACTUAL employer... all of these activities have conspired to limit Gingerology time...big time. BUT, things are leveling off, and normal Gingery goodness should be headed your way soon...stay tuned!

FaceBook is really shaping up to be a neat community of Gingerologists, far beyond what I ever thought it could... if you haven't jumped over there yet, ya need to... ...of course, THIS blog will not be adversely affected by the FB happenings, as the goal HERE remains totally unchanged...to provide Ginger Rogers info, features, and events in a timely manner, encouraging comment from YOU, the Gingerologist.

And, we've picked up a few new folks here at G-ology over the last few weeks, as a DIRECT result of FB...which, for me honestly, was a BIG part of jumping onto it in the first place... Welcome to Barbara and to Lilly!!! Thanks SO much for following, be sure to interact here, AND I hope your visits to G-ology will be most enjoyable!

...NOW, as for what is 'up' here... of course, the review for Top Hat is nigh, so be on the lookout for that... TENTATIVELY, with next weekend being a three-day deal, it looks like a potential window can open up there for headway. In general, I have 'reset' the 'layout' for the reviews, which will hopefully be in a bit better arrangement, reading-wise... I also set up a 'template' I can just fill in for each review... up to now, I have just been copying over the previous review and editing it, which somehow loses a bit in translation, and the 'styles' of text get screwed up after you do that 5-6 times... so hopefully the template deal will not 'propagate errors'...

And FINALLY, I am going to REALLY start loading up the GingerFilm blogs with 'archived' posts from G-ology, as well as from other Gingery blogs, dormant or active (I'll contact the bloggers in question when I look to copy over one of their posts...for permission, of course... and if you DON'T want your post copied, that's fine... but if one is OK with it being copied, I will of course give TOTAL credit to any and all posts allowed to be copied into a GingerFilm blog...) SO, be on the lookoout for that...I will probably note the posts at the 'top' of Gingerology (just above the 'Day In Gingerology' section), as well as tacking a link on FB...which hopefully makes folks aware of these blogs... and of course, comments are DEFINITELY welcome on all GingerFilm blogs as well! I try to check the 'comment pending' board every day for all GingerFilm blogs.

Well, that's what's up, y'all... hope to get TopHat cooking soon, as well as other 'topics' I've been wanting to throw out there regarding Ginger (what else?). Until then...
