I'm so sorry for your loss.

My deepest thoughts are with you.x.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this painful time. In 2 days it will be 3 years for me with my Dad. He had lung/brain cancer. It's very hard but I hope your heart will heal in time. Bless you always!!! Winona
ReplyDeleteI admire the way how you presented your thoroughly touching family story. Honestly I first thought, this was too private for a blog. But then you convinced me absolutely. You managed it with great dignity and I pay great respect to it. I must even confess, that I learned something.
ReplyDeleteA few visitors might doubt it, but I'm deeply convinced, that Ginger read all that too. Jesus said they'll shout everything from the roofs in heaven. So your father and Ginger know everything about each other - that means no limits, no more private secrets, but nothing but trust. Isn't this wonderful?

ReplyDeleteHuey -- My condolences to you and your family. May you find comfort in your faith, those you love, and the happy memories you have of your father.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. I will be praying for you.
ReplyDeleteVKMfan. Condolences on the loss to you and yours. Keyboards are not made to compose for such happenings. Perhaps the final "peacefully" brought and brings some comfort. Sincerely. Gerald

ReplyDeleteThanks to all for the kind words... we are doing ok, the process of 'sorting thru' all the house 'stuff' is now starting, which is always an arduous procedure, since it's hard to 'throw out' anything which evidently meant something to him... but it is getting done.
ReplyDeleteOne day I will get back to the business of VKM... hopefully pretty soon.
Y'all are the best - thanks again...
VERY Sincerely,
VKMfan
You know what Huey: nothing is happening these days in 'Classic Movie Town'. Even Dexter Haven's followers seem to be lazy and listless. - Well, I just hold the line, issuing weekly - maybe this will encourage a few fellows ...

Just bumped into Ginger and her "The Gay Divorcée". Now that I have it I remember, I had seen it on tv indeed - long ago and far away, during my youthful days (Ginger trapped in suitcase of course!). - I bought Mae West too and her TIRA dashed like a meteor into my Classic Movie Brain. WOW-WOW-WOW!
"...Oh, Porter!" A classic scene, for sure... thinking that might be a future poll question - what is your fave 'GandF meet each other' scene? That one is pretty hard to beat.
ReplyDeleteMae West - I need to get some of her stuff... she was a piece of work, for sure! There is one she made with a young Cary Grant... name escapes me at the moment, tho...
