...Milk Bottles Available Again!
...from the TCM store, these bottles are again available, at quite a reduced cost! Here's the link to the spot on the TCM site:
TCM site - Ginger Rogers Milk Bottles
I am pretty sure most of y'all have already purchased one or more of these from the initial offering (I'm with you in that group), so, if you know someone else who would like one or more, or if YOU would just want a couple more, this is a nice opportunity.
If you read the comments for this item on the site, there are a few 'contrary' comments regarding the item, which, of course, ruffles the feathers of your author. Well, here is the response from THE authority on all things Ginger, none other than Ms. Roberta Olden (hopefully she doesn't mind me copying over this from the Ginger Message Board on IMDb site (which is pretty cool, BTW - go over there and participate!)):
Hi everybody .... I see TCM has reduced the price of the Ginger Rogers Ranch Quart Milk Bottles ... a really good price! And I see that if you order over $49, there is free shipping...
Pick some up for holiday gifts!
Contrary to what some purchasers have stated, the milk bottles are the real thing, manufactured in 1942 and from Miss Rogers 4R ranch dairy ... The signature on the COA is genuine and from the trustee of the estate (I didn't have the heart to ask him to personally sign over 500 milk bottle COA's so he gave me permission to reproduce his signature on the COA).
I certainly enjoy reading all the wonderful comments from fans on here ... you love her almost as much as I do :)
Roberta
...good enough for ME!
Hope this helps y'all out if you are thinking of purchasing one or more of these... it really is a cool piece of Gingerbilia to own... hope everyone out there gets one!
Y'all have a great 'Turkey Day Prep' week... it's almost that time!!!
KIG!

...random GingerMoment of the day...
...occurred whilst helping out my daughter with her chemistry homework (which seems a bit advanced for 8th Grade, but maybe not... I know I didn't have this stuff when I was her age...) ...anyway, I drug out my old college chemistry book, just flipping through the 700+ pages, and just happen to land on this one:
...check out the 'Figure Description' to the left of the picture... how RANDOM is THAT? I mean, how many textbook pics actually call out where the pic was TAKEN? ...although, it is pretty sad the description talks of the demise of the plant due to acid rain... ...also, this was stumbledupon while watching Missouri play Mississippi State in football... if anything, it reminds me to get some Ginger stuff rolling this weekend, which should be a doable proposition, as it is to be quite soggy in South Gingerville this weekend... so... stay tuned!
...BTW, THIS pic is MUCH better representative of our Independence Rose, don'tchathink?
yupyupyup...
in the interim...
KIG, Y'all!!!
