...forever in our hearts... ...twenty years ago Ginger Rogers left this orb, and is most certainly at this moment tripping the light fantastic in whatever celestial realm she fancies...
Hope everyone out there will celebrate the life of 'our girl' by watching a GingerFilm, listening to a few GingerTunes, or just simply reflect on the life of Ginger, and how it inspires you.
Thanks again to all who follow Gingerology - it's never easy on this day, but it's so great to have all of y'all here and on FaceBook to share with... and as always...
Keep It... Gingery... ...in perpetuity.

...WWGRD...
...Well - first off, a BIG thank you to Monica Kelly, who informed the FB GingerBunch about this item...a new book is (almost) out which has at least a 'nod' to Ginger - it's called "What Would Ginger Rogers Do?", written by Caitin Raynes...
...the 'synopsis' given on the website (see below) indicates a general romance novel, with a bit of 'empowerment' for the main character, who asks herself the rhetorical question which is the novel's namesake... 'Channeling Your Inner Ginger' is another way of stating it.
Obviously, the author is a big Ginger fan, so that reason ALONE should gain the support of we Gingerologists...I plan on purchasing it! Would have been cool if an actual pic of Ginger was on the cover, but guess there's the 'use of likeness' fees hanging out there... t least it's a pink dress with polka-dots! ALMOST as if the author has been 'lurking' on some of the Gingerology Group banter on FB...which is COOL!!!
HERE is the link to info from the book's publisher, Buried River Press.
Buy it!!! NOW!!!

...Top Hat Musical for our UK Gingerologists...
...is cranking back up! It will be at The Lyric in Plymouth, UK - which is a good bit west of London...
...BTW, this has GOT to be the coolest pic of these two out there, at least in 'non-dance' mode...
Of course, Kat has given us some great reviews of past performances of this show, and she would also know the 'makeup' of this troupe (if not the same cast) as compared to the one she saw awhile back... so Kat, any input would be great! ...of course, I believe you have a few other things going on that the moment, however, so...keep your priorities, lady!
Anyway, here's the link to the performances, which will be from April 28th to May 9th...hope y'all get to see it! It would be pretty cool to see it get to the States...
Hope all is well with everyone - hey! We're over halfway through April without any problems, save for some bad events in the 'general world affairs' category, which is pretty much a continual thing, unfortunately... so, let's all hang in there, and...
Keep It Gingery!!!

...a year to the day...
...that Hat Check Girl, Ginger's only 'thought to be lost' film, made its 're-primere' (the first being in 1932, of course) at the TCM Classic Film Festival!
Reports from the screening were quite positive regarding Ginger's role, and ultimately the only issue is that she isn't in it MORE... well, heck, most ALL GingerFilms have that problem, right? and it's cool that more 'publicity pics' are popping up, such as the incredible one above with Ginger and Sally Eilers...
Now, of course, the 64 dollar question remains...WHEN are going to see a DVD release?
Hmmmmmm???
ANY info anyone out there may have would be greatly appreciated by all Gingerologists! This definitely includes anyone who is employed by Twentieth-Century / Fox Studios, of course...
Keep Hope Alive, y'all!!!
KIG!!!
